Brick Kilns Slavery, A Cry for Freedom
Across Pakistan, an estimated 20,000 brick kilns operate under harsh and exploitative conditions. Thousands of families, including children, are trapped in bonded labor after being lured by factory owners with small loans. What begins as a promise of help quickly turns into a life of slavery, as owners add unfair interest and living costs, making it impossible for them to escape the debt.
Men and women are forced to work 14 hours a day or more, molding bricks under extreme heat and dust, often earning as little as 5 USD a day. Refusal to work results in severe beatings, threats, and persecution, especially against those who hold faith in Jesus Christ.
Children born into these kiln camps are denied education, dignity, and the right to a free life. Many grow up and die within these brick fields, never knowing the meaning of freedom, hope, or opportunity.
